The Bihar government has approved 110 acres of land in Kishanganj district for the establishment of a Regional Training Centre (RTC) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The training centre will be developed in the Pothia area and is expected to train nearly 1,000 CISF personnel. Officials said the project will strengthen security infrastructure and increase government investment in the region.
Local business groups and residents believe the upcoming CISF centre will boost economic activity in Kishanganj through increased demand for hotels, restaurants, transport, housing, and local services. The project is also expected to create new employment opportunities for local youth and support infrastructure development in nearby areas.
