The Bihar Government has officially opened admissions for the newly established Minority Residential School in Kishanganj for the 2025–26 academic session. The institution will provide free education and residential facilities for students belonging to Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Parsi communities. Applications have been invited for Class 9 and Class 11 students.
The government has reserved 75% of seats for rural students and 50% for girls to promote inclusive education and equal learning opportunities. Officials stated that the school aims to improve access to quality education for economically weaker students and encourage higher participation in academics from minority communities.
