Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recently announced that degree colleges will be established in every block of the state under the “Advanced Education – Bright Future” initiative. The project is expected to improve access to higher education for students in districts like Kishanganj, especially girls and rural students.
The government also plans to develop selected institutions into “Centres of Excellence” with better infrastructure, modern academic facilities, and employment-oriented education. Officials said the initiative would help students continue higher studies closer to their hometowns and strengthen Bihar’s education system.
